Biking - it is not only cheap, so saving our students' pockets but also getting more and more trendy. Therefore, if you are a bit of a show-off and still care for the natural environment, this article is just for you!

Considering the condition of Polish roads and the general lack of bike tracks and bike-friendly places even in biggest cities, it is first and foremost the matter of safety (both yours and your bike's) that may discourage you from cycling, especially at nighttime or in the winter when the sun sets early. Nevertheless, it is the perfect way to burn those extra calories and stay fit even in the winter time when the energy is on the low. One obstacle is the lack of bike-friendly places, so finding a decent parking space for your bike may be a challenge. The solution is easy: first: buy a high quality lock and second: inform your local authorities about the problem and your needs. Maybe your school needs to be informed that there's a need to build a bike park. It's always worth to try and it doesn't cost much. And last but not least, don't forget that safety comes first: get a helmet, some reflective strips to stay visible in autumn fog and lights for staying illuminated in the dark, and a pump.

How to get a bike if you don't have one? The easiest solution is to check out your grandparents' basement. Old-school bikes are getting back in style and you'll not only look chic and become the object of envy of your mates but also move around the city in a much safer way than on a traditional mountain bike. One tip for girls: it's easier to cycle around using the old-school bike if you plan to wear a skirt or a dress. Moreover, old-school bikes discourage thieves with their looks, so one trouble less for you.
