There are few phenomena that are always present in our lives but one of them is definitely stress. Stress is always and wrongly associated with negative feelings of tension. However, it has been proven that stress can motivate us to work better and be more efficient, e.g. we learn and perform better when we know that the deadline is approaching.
Obviously, too much stress is never positive and can even lead to illnesses and even in some extreme cases be the cause of death. So maybe it's time to learn how to manage stress and make it work for us?

First of all, we tend to be pessimistic and have negative thoughts about ourselves and our abilities. It influences our perception of reality and the stress level increases automatically. Instead, we should focus on positive aspects of the situation. There is no need to blame ourselves for lousy performance; it doesn't have to be our fault and too much criticism rarely helps. Exaggerating is also not advisable. How to manage stress successfully? First, you should identify the source of stress. It could be lack of money, time, or sleep, problems with girlfriend/boyfriend, family problems. Then, talk to people that you feel close to. Probably they have noticed that you are under stress and may be willing to help you cope with the situation. You can also try doing physical exercise outdoors or invite mates for a pajama party with a good comedy. Need more information?
